I was so excited to be able to photograph Lil & Steve’s wedding. They are such a fun couple… I realized after we took a boat ride during their amazing engagement session that their wedding day would be tons of fun, and I was right! :) This was our second time photographing a wedding at the historic First Presbyterian Church in Fernandina Beach, as one of my previous brides (who was in Lil’s wedding too!) was married there just a few months prior. The rain that was forecasted for the majority of the day didn’t interrupt Lil & Steve’s wedding for the most part. It held off until minutes before the ceremony was set to begin. Lil was supposed to walk outside in order to enter through the front of the church doors… the church coordinator and I briefly spoke when the rain began about postponing the wedding for a few minutes to see if it would blow over- and as we went to tell Lil we were going to wait a few minutes, we opened the front door and Lil was walking…well, sprinting, outside with an umbrella!  She was so determined to get down that aisle on time and marry her hunny! ;) Lil walked down the aisle to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri- and every time I hear that song now, it makes me think of their perfect day.

Lil & Steve, thank you so much for allowing Brent & I to be a part of your wedding. We love you guys!
