Emily & Amos Are Married! | Inn At Still Pond Wedding | Axson, GA Wedding | Southern Eclectic Wedding | Southern Wedding Photographer

July 27, 2013 / Inn At Still Pond / Axson, GA

Ceremony/Reception Venue: Inn at Still Pond, Axson GA
Videographer: JKS Film
Bridal Gown: The Bridal Shop at the Avenues, Jacksonville FL
Bridesmaid Dresses: Judith March

Emily and Amos had been together for many years before they decided to officially tie the knot, but to me- it still seemed like they had just recently fallen in love. The way Amos spent the entire engagement session as well as the wedding day looking at his bride was nothing short of perfection… it’s so clear they are meant to be. Their wedding day really was an excellent representation of their love for one another- sweet, and beautiful.

As expected, it was a bit of a scorcher for their Southern Georgia July wedding- but we didn’t let the heat, humidity, and bugs stand in our way! Emily and Amos said their vows under a white gazebo, right on the gorgeous Inn at Still Pond. They also decided to seal a box during their ceremony with letters to one another inside. They promised that if their marriage ever came upon hard times that they would open the box together and read the letters they sealed inside on their wedding day. As you will see in the detail pictures below, Emily and Amos were surrounded by many family heirlooms and crafty details that their friends and family helped to create for their perfect day.

I should also add that this wedding was recently published on the amazing Every Last Detail Blog… and you can see the feature here, as well as hear more about the wedding from Emily herself!

It was such a pleasure for Brent and I to photograph this gorgeous couple. Enjoy!! xo

Erica + Ben are Married! | Amelia Island Wedding | Walker’s Landing – Omni Resort | Walker’s Landing Wedding | Amelia Island Wedding Photographer

June 1, 2013 / Walker’s Landing, Omni Amelia Island / Amelia Island, FL

Ceremony/Reception Venue: Walker’s Landing, Amelia Island Plantation
Hair/Makeup Artist: On the Green Salon
Florist: Artistic Florist
Cake Artist: Omni Resort
Band: KTG Entertainment
Videographer: Pure Life Videos
Bridal Gown: Savvi Formalwear (Raleigh, NC)- Mori Lee
Men’s Tuxes: Macy’s- (Alfani)
Ceremony Music: Jennifer Gwaltney

When Erica and I first met, we totally hit it off right away and became instant friends. Because Erica is a wonderful photographer herself up in North Carolina, I was so honored (and excited!) that she asked me to be the one to photograph her and Ben’s special day. We decided early on that we were going to work hard to get their wedding featured on the fabulous Style Me Pretty Blog… and WE DID!- which is why this blog post of her wedding is running a bit late! We had to let SMP feature it before I was allowed to share the gorgeousness of her day on my personal blog. ;)

In reality, I could talk about Erica & Ben’s wedding myself and tell you about all the lovely details – but since Erica had submitted a little description for the SMP blog herself, I think I will just use a bit of her wording to describe their perfect day.

I wanted the day to feel like “us” – effortless and fun. Ben and I met in Raleigh, North Carolina, but I’m originally from a small town in South Georgia, about 20 minutes from Amelia Island, Florida. When we pictured the perfect backdrop for our wedding day, all we could think about was being surrounded by family and friends…and GORGEOUS spanish moss-covered oak trees. As soon as we toured the property at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation, we knew Walker’s Landing was the perfect place to say our “I Do’s! One very special detail was placing my father’s wedding band on my bouquet. He passed away a year almost two years ago, so it was incredibly special to have a part of him with me as I walked down the aisle. The day could not have gone any more perfect. It was everything that we ever wanted. Lots of love, laughter, and dancing all night. Complete and utter effortlessness and a day I’ll never forget!”

Please enjoy the eye candy, friends. It was a beautiful day.2014-08-04_0039

Korinne and Patrick’s wedding day was a BLAST! It is always a pleasure to shoot at the gorgeous Club Continental… the ceremony site is absolutely gorgeous, and as you will see- we got the most amazing light for the formal pictures later that evening! :) As you scroll through this wedding, please be sure to notice all the hilarious moments such as Brent helping blow a fan under Korinne’s wedding dress in the getting ready room, the obvious moment in the reception when everyone was screaming out “Don’t Stop Believin'”  by Journey, and Korinne expressing her apparent “victory!” for getting Patrick to sign off on their marriage license. ;) But all joking aside, Korinne and Patrick are two of the sweetest people, and their wedding day was truly a wonderful celebration…we were SO thankful to be a part of this amazing day. Korinne and Patrick are now expecting their very first little miracle due in May, and I can’t wait to continue to document their love story as their sweet little family grows. :)

Kelly & Ryland are Married! | San Marco Preserve Wedding | Matthew’s Restaurant Wedding | One Ocean Wedding, Jacksonville Beach

August 30, 2013 / San Marco Preservation Hall, Jacksonville FL

Ceremony Venue: San Marco Preservation Hall, Jacksonville FL
Reception Venue: Matthew’s Restaurant, Jacksonville FL
Getting Ready/Bridal Portraits: One Ocean Resort, Jacksonville Beach FL
Coordinator: Monica w/ TO-DOers Event Planning
Florist: Floriade
Bridal Gown: The White Magnolia (San Marco, FL)- Jim Hjelm, Blush
Harpist: Reverend William Reister

I need to preface this by saying this- the very moment that I met Kelly, it was like we were old friends. I knew we were a perfect match. :) As Kelly told me about her very sweet and intimate wedding that she & Ryland were planning, I couldn’t wait to be a part of their day. Small/family weddings sometimes end up being some of my favorites. The hustle and bustle of the day is so minimal– and there is just so much extra time to focus on the REASON for the day in the first place. (Oh, and lots of extra time for bridal formals! ;) ) Speaking of formals- we did hit a little bit of a speed bump as the rain began to pour right after Kelly & Ryland’s wedding ceremony was complete…but that didn’t stop us! We took some formals in the church, and some outdoors with an umbrella… (if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em! right?) By the time we headed over to the DELICIOUS Matthew’s restaurant, the rain had basically let up. We did some formals inside the restaurant as well (hello- it is GORGEOUS in there, and I love a challenge!) & we were able to sneak outside for just a few downtown shots! The night finished up after dinner with some extremely heartfelt speeches, and a few quick dances. Brent and I were SO thankful to be a part of this special celebration… and I am looking forward to photographing Kelly & Ryland again in a few months, as they are now expecting their first little PRINCESS, due around Memorial Day!! xo!

Every now and then I get to sneak a quick photo with my brides! ;)
This one was epic- we were trying to keep cool while stuck in the hotel hallway & locked out of our room! LOL thanks Brent. ;)

We had such an amazing time photographing Chris & Jes’ wedding at the beautiful Diamond D Ranch!! First of all- the venue is just beautiful. The details and COLORS that Jes chose were perfect… and their cake? Oh my gosh.. I LOVED it! This was a super typical August wedding in Florida… southern, sweltering hot, and quite the PARTY! During the garter removal, Jes played a pretty funny prank on her hubby… you’ll see how that one turned out- the whole crowd was hysterical! :) But in all seriousness, Jes & Chris are the sweetest & we were so glad to be a part of their wedding day. Congrats you two lovebirds! <3
